Lily is a kind, bright girl who thinks about others before herself. When around people she like she is open and bubbly, always with a smile and something nice to say, She loves her friends and is very loyal to them, she will even put herself out if it will help a friend.
Alternatively, when she is around people who she is not too good a friend with, she can be very sarcastic, harsh and just outright snarky to them. She lives up to her hair colour and has a very fiery temper, especially if someone is upsetting someone else.
Away from all of that Lily also relishes quiet time, either reading a book or just thinking, she isn't one who need constant attention 24/7.

Personal History:
Lily was born into a Muggle family, with very supportive parents and an older sister who she did everything with. They got along fine most days but Lily had discovered she was different to her sister at a young age as she could make things happen without touching them. This made her sister very jealous so she didn't do it too much.
When she was nine years old, she met a boy that lived in a village near to her. He introduced her into the world of magic and taught her about being a witch. Her sister Petunia didn't like him at all but that didn't put Lily off.
When Lily was 11 she received the invitation to go to hogwarts. This cause the relationship between her and her sister to crumble and die.
At Hogwarts Lily was sorted into Gryffindor where she made friends quickly. She did well in her classes and the teachers liked her. She was a prefect in her fifth year. But at the end of Fifth year she and Severus had a fall out as he called her a mudblood. She is now dreading the return to hogwarts as it mean she will have to face him.

Example Roleplay:
It was late afternoon and the September sun burned bright over the Hogwarts grounds. The majority of the students were out enjoying the remains of the summer sun, before autumn fully set in. The leaves of the trees were already begining to change from their healthy deep green to the vibrant colours which signalled the end of their season.
Lily was one of the minority who decided it would be better to keep to the shady common room. Due to her vivid red hair, and the accompanying fair skin led to her having to limit he time in the sun. She burnt really easily in direct sun. She had brought mass amount of suncream, but she had to have very high factor which was quite hard to find, and she found muggle brands to be more effective. She needed to save her supply for the summer so she could spend time outside before the school year ended. She also was taking some time away from her friends, she found that they were all fussing over her, trying to make her talk about her holiday and how things were going with Severus. Some were trying to be nice and tell her it was just a slip up. Other's were trying to be helpful by bad mouthing him and making seem like a complete monster. She just couldn't cope with that right now, she was still deciding how she felt at the moment, she didn't need their input.
Instead she sat indoors on one of the large, plush armchairs in the middle of the deserted common room. She had her hair tied into a loose bun on the top of her head, but strands were already coming loose and hanging around her face. Around her slim form hung a loose, flattering green dress.
She smiled softly at the book, she was re-reading it for the third time and it was one of her favorites. Just then she heard the portrait swing open and footsteps which made her glance up at who had come and disturbed her quiet retreat.
